Ozone in agriculture and food applications

 

This paper briefly reviews the current stet of art and emerging applications of ozone in agriculture and food industry. Applications of ozone in various food processing sectors including fresh produce, meat , fish, dried ingredients and liquids are widely reported. Ozone also offers the food industry an alternative or complementary  cleaning and sanitizing agent. Better clarity of the regulatory status of ozone for agriculture and food applications would be greatly facilitate further adoptions.
