Sustainable management is one of the key tasks of the 21st century. Industrial and household sewage has huge potential for nutrient and energy recovery. Gunther Adler, State Secretary in the Federal Ministry for the Environment, will explain the current developments and challenges involved in this important area and discuss the necessary “conditions for effective wastewater utilization”.
Prof. Dr. Stefan Uhlenbrook of the UNESCO World Water Assessment Program will present the World Water Development Report 2017 on the subject of Wastewater – The Untapped Resource and discuss its implications with the panel of experts.
