Objective of this Forum is to define the need of technological solution and concepts and to assess the future cooperation potential between Germany and the region Western Balkan.

The state of the water sector in Croatia and the neighbouring countries, as well as the need will be presented and should lead to strengthen the cooperation between German and South-East-European entities for the sake of the region.

Location: For organisational reasons the tours will be announced on the day in question. Buses to the sites will be correspondingly marked.

Those taking part will be able to find out about modern and innovative methods and the ways in which building projects are realised, including a system for managing wastewater disposal and new technology for safeguarding water supplies and providing wastewater treatment.

Photo opportunity: Pupils drink a ’dirty wastewater cocktail’

Location: Hall 6.2 – Booth 308

On the stand of the German Toilet Organisation e.V. pupils will drink a ’dangerous wastewater cocktail’ to draw attention to the fact that 650 million people have no access to clean water. According to the WHO, every year over two million people die of infections caused by contaminated water. This symbolic photo opportunity is part of a project entitled ’Klobalisierte Welt’ by the German Toilet Organization e.V., in which four schools from Berlin are participating by staging unusual activities.

Location: Exhibition hall

On the Friday of the fair pupils from the age of 16, students, trainees and jobseekers will be able to find out everything about careers in the water industry. Exhibitors taking part in the programme will have practical tips on how to get started, apply successfully for a job, and opportunities in their company. Visitors will be able to establish international contacts in the Young Water Professionals Lounge in Hall 3.2. The job market in the same location will provide an overview of current job vacancies.
